premieres for brahms / arr. lazic
Later this year, there are two European Premieres planned for BRAHMS / ARR. LAZIC - PIANO CONCERTO NO. 3 (AFTER VIOLIN CONCERTO, OP. 77): at the BBC Proms in London on 11 August (UK Premiere), and at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw on 24, 25 & 26 September (Dutch Premiere).
The German Premiere of this work will take place in Hamburg in April 2012 at the prestigious festival Hamburger Ostertöne,
the Japanese Premiere in Sapporo is scheduled for March 2012, and additional performances in The Hague and in Utrecht will take place in February 2012.
new cd with the ACO has just been released
In November and December 2009 Dejan was performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 in G major, op. 58
on a highly successful 12-concert national tour of Australia
with the Australian Chamber Orchestra led by Richard Tognetti.
In addition, they performed the same concerto in summer 2010
in London and at the Snape Proms in Aldeburgh, UK.
Their Sydney concert was recorded live by Channel Classics
and on this brand new disc Beethoven's 4th Piano Concerto
will be linked with his two Piano Sonatas:
No. 14 in C-sharp minor 'Moonlight' (op. 27, No. 2) and
No. 31 in A-flat major (op. 110).

Dejan received the 'ECHO Klassik' Award 2009
Dejan Lazic received the prestigious German 'ECHO Klassik' Award 2009 in the category 'Best Piano Concerto Recording (20th and 21st Century)' for his live recording of Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2 with London Philharmonic Orchestra under Kirill Petrenko.

Some nice news for the composer Dejan Lazic:
in 2009 he has completed his six-year-long project, an arrangement of the beloved Brahms Violin Concerto for Piano and Orchestra - after Bach and Beethoven, who arranged their own Violin Concertos as Piano Concertos, here we have now the third great 'B' in such an arrangement: Lazic / Atlanta Symphony Orchestra / Spano.
The World Premiere took place on October 1, 2009 in Atlanta, USA. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and their music director Robert Spano joined Dejan and repeated the concert on October 2 & 3.

RELEASE Of RACHMANINOV'S 2ND PIANO CONCERTO
Dejan's Rachmaninov-CD with London Philharmonic Orchestra under Kirill Petrenko has been released on Channel Classics in 2009 and has received among others the prestigious German 'ECHO Klassik' Award! Rachmaninov's famous 2nd Piano Concerto, recorded live at the Royal Festival Hall in London, is being paired with his "Moments Musicaux" op. 16. The disc has already got rave reviews worldwide and on January 27, 2009 Dejan presented the disc on ZDF, Germany's national TV station, performing live in the studio.
