Am 21. August 2016 Dejan gab sein Debut mit dem Boston Symphony Orchestra unter der Leitung von Andris Nelsons, am Programm war das Klavierkonzert Nr. 5 von Camille Saint-Saëns („Ägyptisches Konzert“).

Boston Globe schrieb über das Konzert: “The Croatian pianist Dejan Lazic dispatched this crowd-pleaser nimbly and with an almost elfin lightness of touch.”

Und MassLive.com berichtete: “Lazic gave a delicate, delightful performance of Saint-Saens‘ composition. The piece starts out quiet, almost like a piece of chamber music. But by the end, the composition shifts gears and picks up speed and intensity. And every step of the way, Lazic was there and ready to rise to the challenge.”
