Debut with Boston Symphony Orchestra & Andris Nelsons

On 21 August 2016 Dejan gave his debut with the Boston Symphony Orchestra conducted by Andris Nelsons, performing Piano Concerto No. 5 (“The Egyptian”) by Camille Saint-Saëns.

The Boston Globe wrote about the concert: “The Croatian pianist Dejan Lazic dispatched this crowd-pleaser nimbly and with an almost elfin lightness of touch.”

And the MassLive.com reported: “Lazic gave a delicate, delightful performance of Saint-Saens’ composition. The piece starts out quiet, almost like a piece of chamber music. But by the end, the composition shifts gears and picks up speed and intensity. And every step of the way, Lazic was there and ready to rise to the challenge.”
